TERRY LITTLE JOINS TEAM RAFTERS
Clermont to Kiama
I have known Rafters for a few years through AFL and have been keeping an eye on his journey to the New York Marathon through the Team Rafters web site and update emails. Now as I am based in Wollongong, I don't get much of an opportunity to support the cause by way of attending the functions. So to mind came using my run as a way of giving the support that I wanted to give, and what better way than going for a run, just like Rafters himself.
So that is why I am running now, not just the personal challenge but to help make a difference to a guy who is making a great difference. My run will consist of me leaving my front door in Albion Park and running to the Blowhole in Kiama. I will run around the lighthouse and back down to the reserve at Black Beach where I will finish off my 21km journey. All this will happen on the 10th of November, I know it is a week after the New York Marathon, but I hope to receive donations from friends, family and colleagues by the time Rafters makes his debut in the New York Marathon.
So keep the 10th of November in mind, and come down to Black Beach Kiama around 12 midday to help celebrate the cause for Rafters and enjoy a picnic with my friends and family who will be there to support.
